People laugh when I say I was born with a hammer in my hand. My father started a construction company when he was 18 years old and it’s been his trade ever since. Growing up I had construction in my blood. I started building things as soon as I could walk and wanted to spend all my time on the jobsite with my dad. I really started making a difference on the jobsites throughout my high school and college years. My father had one requirement; go to college and get my degree, then I could do whatever I wanted. After earning my degree in Business Administration: Management and Marketing from The Pennsylvania State University, I worked for a few builders and then my father came to me and asked if I wanted to take over the business. I jumped at the opportunity and that’s when Marsh Creek Contracting, LLC began. We started Marsh Creek Contracting, LLC six years ago with four contractors. My father, uncle, brother-in-law, and myself and have grown the business throughout the years and now we have 15 contractors on our team. We specialize in exterior remodels such as stucco remediation, siding, windows, doors, etc. Currently, we serve large HOA communities and single families throughout Delaware, Chester, Lancaster, and Berk counties in Pennsylvania.
How have home exteriors changed in the past 10 years?
There has been a huge shift in the homeowners thought process over the past 10 years. Current homeowners are striving for maintenance free products.
What projects are you currently working on?
We are currently working on stucco remediation projects for single family homeowners throughout Chester County and three large HOA communities to remove stucco and cedar and install Wolf Portrait Siding™. We specialize in working with HOA communities to analyze existing damage, create a scope of work to fix damage, and manage the project with the HOA homeowners and board through the final project.
What is the largest home you’re ever worked on?
The largest building, we have worked on is for an HOA called Bucktown Crossing in Pottstown, PA. It is approx. 15,000 SF or 150 SQ of Wolf Portrait Siding.
Tell us about your team.
We aren’t your typical contracting firm. We take pride in doing everything in house, without sub-contractors, which tends to be rare these days. We are a true family owned and operated company. My father, uncle, and brother-in-law each run separate crews. All our hiring comes through referrals from our current employees because they know who would fit best with the team. When working with Marsh Creek Contracting, LLC the homeowner or HOA community will experience a family atmosphere. We take pride in everything that we do, and act like every home is our own! Integrity is extremely important to us. In my opinion the greatest part of running MCC, is our involvement within our communities. Who is the main point of contact for the homeowner throughout the project?
The best part about doing everything in house is the personal relationship we have with each homeowner or community. As the owner, I do all the project management, estimates, customer meetings, pre – construction meetings, and post construction meetings.
What are homeowners most asked questions and concerns?
Most of the questions we field are about design and color scheme with existing gutters, downspout, fascia, soffit, and rake board metal color. As a Platinum Wolf PRO, we utilize Wolf’s PRO version of the Siding Visualizer to create custom interactive renderings for each individual homeowner or HOA board what the final product would look like with the color scheme they choose.

What are your favorite materials to work with and why?
We love the simplicity of Wolf Portrait Siding and the accessories that come with it. The installation of the product itself is like no other. Once you get the starter strip installed level, you can interlock each siding panel up the wall without fear of it becoming out of level. Homeowners love the low maintenance aspect along with the clean, modern look.
How does your team like the Wolf Portrait Siding installation process?
Once you understand the tolerances, the installation is extremely simple. Just like any product, once you understand the correct installation specifications the siding can be installed quicker and more efficient for the homeowner. Because Wolf Portrait Siding is impervious to moisture you can install on rooflines, or even sub-grade which gives the home a super clean and modern look!
What performance features do you value the most from Wolf Portrait Siding?
Installation blends all the “seams” which unlike other products and looks the most authentic to cedar siding. The seam plate also makes the most sense because it fuses the two siding panels together throughout the piece, not just at the top of the product.
How long do your resided and remediated homes last and what kind of warranties can the homeowner expect?
Along with the Wolf Portrait Siding Limited Lifetime Warranty and 25-Year Stain & Fade Warranty, which is a leader in the industry, our labor and workmanship warranty is 7-10 years depending on the project. As of today, we have yet to experience any issues with project we have done in the past 6 years.
