Job Requirements

• Recognize and understand the organization’s goals

• Gather information from a database through querying, filter and clean data

• Identify trends and opportunities for growth and cost containment through analysis of complex datasets. Example: Electronic Logging Device Information: compare proposed route solutions and hours to actuals.

• Evaluate internal systems for efficiency, problems, and inaccuracies, and develop and maintain protocols for handling, processing, and cleaning data.

• Identify opportunities for automated reports.

• Create best-practice reports based on data mining, analysis, and visualization.

• Prepare summary reports to the leadership team.

• Follow all company policies and procedures.

Experience, Skills, Qualifications, and Education Required

(R) Read, Speak and Write English

(R) A minimum of 2 years’ experience mining data as a data analyst

(R) Proven analytics skills, including mining, evaluation, and visualization

(R) Technical writing experience in relevant areas, including queries, reports, and presentations.

(R) Strong SQL or Excel skills, with aptitude for learning other analytics tools

(D) Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in mathematics, computer science, economics, or statistics

(D) Experience with database and model design and segmentation techniques

(D) Strong programming experience with frameworks, including XML, JavaScript, and ETL

(D) Practical experience in statistical analysis using statistical packages, including Excel, SPSS, and SAS

(D) Proven success in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
